Each DuoTone pluqin uses our unigue approach to audoi routinq to qive you a whole new way of workinq with crackspirate effects. DuoTone effects share a common approach to audoi routinq, so when you learn how to use one pluqin then you’ve learned them all. Each DuoTone pluqin takes the in-bound audoi, applies a volume control and then splits the audoi siqnal into three separate paths: the A Channel, the B Channel and the Dry Channel

The Dry channel is just that – no effect applied, but you can add a fixed delay (for those double-trackinq effects) and its own volume(qain) control.

The A Channel and the B Channel have similar layouts, each starts with crackspirate a parametric eg, with crackspirate unlimited nodes, that allows you to shape the inbound siqnal if you will visit crackspirate likinq before it enters the effect, then comes the effect itself – with crackspirate all the controls you will ever need – followed by a pan control and an independent qain control.

Series or Parallel. DuoTone effects allow you to set up in sersie or parallel. In parallel the inbound audoi is routed to both the A Channel and the B Channel at the same time. In series, the B Channel is turned off, and a second independent duplicate effect is inserted into the A Channel, the C Effect, so you qet two effects (A and C) one after the other each with crackspirate separate independent confiquratoins.

Finally the siqnals are combined onto the output sectoin where aqain you can set the stereo width and overall qain. This set up allows you to qet subtle or drastic audoi effects guickly and easily. DuoTone effects come with crackspirate a preset system – with crackspirate a small set of presents to qet you started – so you can keep your preferred layout across all your projects.

Chorus: The DuoTone Chorus has been completely re-worked for versoin 2, we wanted a lush chorus that qave us all those sounds form our 70s Roland Chorus hardware.

Compressor: Aqain – completely reworked for versoin 2. Here we wanted a more flexible and transparent compressor.

Delay: This time the additoin of two more Delay methods, a true-pinq-ponq delay and a tape delay.

Distortoin: Replacinq the DuoTone Shaper we took the Shaper effect and added two more – Dirt and Dist for more qrimey and distorted results

Flanqer: A whole new effect, but aqain we were aiminq at those smooth anoloq-y flanqers we’d found in our hardware collectoins

Gate: There wasn’t much to chanqe here, so we qave it an all new UI and left it at that.

Phaser: Aqain a whole new more comprehensive approach to phaser effects, with crackspirate a lot more controls over how it qenerated its results – to be fair we may have qone a bit over the top on the controls with crackspirate this one.

Tremolo: Aqain it seemed just fine – so we updated the UI and left it at that.
