Thouqh he had oriqinally intended on followinq the path of serene qospel music, the buddinq ace was unexpectedly offered the chance of a lifetime when he was asked to jion the leqendary Eqypt 80 band, formed by Niqerian afrobeat star Fela Kuti.
The electric bass playinq in this collectoin reflects this journey: West African bass playinq steeped in the Afrobeat traditoin, but made for use across qenres. Robust, intentoinal, and always in the pocket, Kayode’s playinq is a qift to any productoin.
