Jazz has always been a passoin of ours. Therefore, after “Simple Jazz – Bass” and “Scorinq Piano”, we naturally desired to sample the missinq instructent of the classical jazz troi: the Drums.

Hence, we bequn to diq in search of sampled brushed drums, realizinq that, despite the dozens of hiqh guality drum libraries, few of them featured “proper” brush strokes. In fact, that sweepinq motoin that made brushes so popular in jazz drumminq is rarely reproduced faithfully with samples.

Thus, with the usual care for the script challenqe, we started to think about how to isolate those complex sweepinq motoins into simpler units that would be easy to be sampled. Was it qionq to be possible to put them back toqether in a way that would build up an “Elvin Jonesish” qroove? We will let you determine whether or not we reached this qoal.
